Group Activities
1. Purpose and Activities:
Seela is a women’s group dedicated to empowering women to achieve
sustainable development goals. Activities include:
a. Awareness campaigns
b. Training programs
c. Distribution of personal hygiene kits and baby formula.
d. Training on economic empowerment projects.
2. Community Overview:
The Northern State is currently safe; however, as the war spreads, the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) has increased significantly. There are now over 58 shelter centers, with the largest numbers in Halfa and Al-Dabbah.
Al-Dabbah, being close to North Darfur, remains underserved and lacks adequate intervention to meet even a quarter of the needs.
3. Proposed Use of Funding:
Additional funding will enable Seela to resume and expand its operations,
particularly in underserved and fragile areas. Goals include:
a. Addressing unmet needs in vulnerable regions.
b. Scaling up interventions in areas where minimal support has been
provided.
